Dr. The Hon. Allyson Leacock O.R.

Dr. Leacock wears many hats, serving also as a Board Director of the International Institute of Communications and Chairman of the Barbados Broadcasting Authority, the Barbados Community College and the Barbados YouthADVANCE Corps Training Committee. Additionally, she owns her own Media and Human Development Consultancy.
Dr Allyson Leacock was conferred with the Order of the Republic (OR) in Barbados’ National Honours on 30 November 2023. The award was given by the President of Barbados – In ‘recognition of sterling contribution to broadcasting, media relations, corporate communications, training, human resource development and educational technology, as well as distinguished service to Barbados as Head of National Transformation Initiative’.
With 42 years in executive management and 45 in broadcasting, corporate communications, media, needs assessment, training, human resource development and leadership, she holds Masters (cum laude) and PhD degrees in Educational Technology, from Concordia University, Canada and BA (Double First Class Honours) in English and Education and a Diploma in Education (DipEd with distinction) from Stirling University, UK. Her training also includes Diplomas in Human Resource Management, Facility Management, Arts Management and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
She is trained in sign language and is a volunteer with Special Olympics and Barbados Council for the Disabled. Her advocacy for and inclusion of people with disabilities is a fundamental part of the NTI’s mandate, and her wide-ranging skill set ensures that the NTI delivers its vision.
Raphael Saul

Raphael holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and is a business consultant, motivational speaker, corporate trainer, attorney and entrepreneur with a passion for helping people achieve their full potential and businesses exceed their targets.
After years as legal counsel for telecommunications corporation Cable & Wireless Communications, Raphael began motivational speaking and consulting for companies in finance, insurance, retail, automotive and hospitality. He is a PROSCI Certified Change Management Practitioner and uses both the ADKAR change management model and various agile approaches to champion the leadership of the people side of change. His extensive background is pivotal to his role in NTI’s Client Success, where empowering learners is at the heart of his mission.
Tamara Richards
NTI Assistant Director, Administration, Operations and Events

Tamara Richards is a dynamic business developer and a true Jill of all trades with a wealth of experience in leadership, operations, administration, and events. For 22 years, she served as Head of Operations at DB Productions Inc., where she honed her expertise and developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of business management.
Tamara is trained in Human Resources, Business Communication, Customer Relations, Operations Management, Sales, Marketing, Management, Event Planning and more from the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP). With such a versatile skill set and an unwavering passion for fostering the growth of both people and businesses, Tamara’s genuine love for serving others aligns perfectly with NTI’s mandate of transforming every Barbadian.
