Selecta Charts and NTI Launch “The Shift”: A First-of-its-Kind Playlist Celebrating Positive  Music in Barbados

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS | May 12, 2026 — Selecta Charts, the Caribbean’s premier music streaming and discovery platform, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with the National Transformation Initiative (NTI) to launch the Change Artivist Initiative. This collaboration kicks off today with the exclusive release of “The Shift” Playlist, now available only on the Selecta Charts App.

The Change Artivist Initiative is designed to spotlight Bajan musicians who use their craft as a tool for social good. These “Artivists” (Artist-Activists) are recognised for work that uplifts local communities, inspires positive change, and reflects the resilient and transformative spirit of Barbados.

Amplifying Music That Matters

Through this first-of-its-kind Playlist Partnership, Selecta Charts and NTI are providing a dedicated stage for conscious music. While the artists gain significant visibility, audiences are invited to discover a curated selection of tracks that go beyond entertainment to address the heartbeat of the island’s development.

“Music has always been the pulse of Barbados,” says the Selecta Charts Team. “By partnering with NTI for ‘The Shift,’ we aren’t just sharing songs; we are amplifying the voices of those who are actively soundtracking the positive evolution of our society.”

How to Listen

“The Shift” Playlist serves as a new chapter for positive music in Barbados, bridging the gap between digital innovation and social impact.
