Hi NTI Learner,
Sugar cane may have been the star back in the day, but now Barbados is bursting with farmers growing sweet potatoes, yams, veggies and more! We’re taking charge of our food and our future.
At NTI, we’re proud to offer free courses for Bajans in food security, plant care and getting local produce from the field to your plate. Whether you’re a teacher, a farmer or dreaming of starting your own agri-business, we’ve got the tools to help you grow. Let’s build a stronger, greener, more self-sufficient Barbados together!

We Gatherin’ and We Growing in St. George!
This week’s Midweek Mindset episode shines a light on We Gatherin’ St. George!
With the lush, inland parish at the heart of Barbados’ agricultural soul, St. George is affectionately known as the Bread Basket of Barbados! Leading the charge are Camille Alleyne, Public Relations Officer and proud culture advocate, and Graham Clarke, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, who brings a deep passion for transformation and rural pride.
This session was eye-opening not only for Sluggy Dan and Emcee Mafia, but for us as well, as we all learnt what the parish of St. George has to offer from agriculture to its rich history!

Innovating and Growing
Ready to be inspired? This Flashback Friday video follows Rishi and Terry from Ino‑Gro Inc., a trailblazing Barbados-based hydroponic farming start-up, as they transform a humble 40-foot shipping container into a farm.
