Trailer: Faces of the Fight – An NTI Documentary

The National Transformation Initiative (NTI) pays tribute to the heroic men and women on the frontline of Barbados’ battle for the lives of their fellow citizens against the Covid-19 pandemic.

For the past two years, Barbados has grappled with the devastating impact of the disease, and months ago, work began on a project designed to poignantly capture and acknowledge the extraordinary service of these teams at ground zero, and who continue to serve their nation.

The tribute, a one-hour documentary entitled Face of the Fight, was created by celebrated Barbadian photographer, videographer and producer, Ronnie Carrington.

A collaboration with the NTI, the documentary also created hands-on training opportunities for a new generation of audio-visual professionals. Here are comments from two who also benefitted.

ABOUT NTI

NTI is part of Government’s Retraining and Retooling programme (ReRe), itself a construct within The Barbados Economic Recovery and Transformation (BERT) Programme.

“The Re-Re Program, which involves the Retooling, Empowering, Retraining and Enfranchising of workers has to be at the core of the International Monetary Funded (IMF) program over the next four years. This is the next phase of the Barbados Economic Recovery and Transformation (BERT) program that is a comprehensive retraining of Barbadian workers in an effort to make the workforce “globally fit for purpose”.
